Story Highlight
  • The early access for Battlefield has just begun.
  • Currently, the game servers are full with almost 300k players in queue waiting to get into a match.
  • The player count will only increase from here as Battlefield 6 is on track to shatter multiple records.

Battlefield 6 early access has officially kicked off, with EA finally set to make a strong return to the FPS genre.

Just 2 hours in since the early access has started, Battlefield 6 servers are already full. In fact, almost 300k players are waiting in the queue just to try to get into a match.

Why it matters: Battlefield 6 has already won over players via its early reveals and multiplayer gameplay showcase. We may have one of the best releases in the franchise coming our way.

Due to the game servers being full, most players are currently waiting in the lobby for an opportunity to join a match. Remarkably, it hasn’t even been two hours since early access launched, and the game is already on track to break records.

It’s important to note that early access is limited to a select group of players who received game codes by signing up for Battlefield Labs. Fortunately, there is still an opportunity for players to obtain early access codes by streaming 30 minutes of Battlefield 6 on Twitch. This applies specifically to streams with drops enabled and tags for Battlefield 6.

Open Beta for the game begins from August 9-10, with the second week starting from August 14-17. The player count will likely increase by twice or even thrice till then as more players pour in.

Early previews for the game are pretty strong, and the Battlefield franchise might be making a comeback with this new entry. If anything, Call of Duty will face tough competition this year despite Activision dismissing any concerns of a threat from the rival release.
