However, it seems there’s no stopping the controversies. Following the confirmation of LGBTQ relationships, it seems Yasuke’s identity as a samurai has become a point of contention again.
In fact, reports indicate his whole story was fabricated by historian Thomas Lockley.

According to Thomas Lockley, he is not connected to the game. However, sources claim that he was previously featured on a podcast with Ubisoft, suggesting that the team consulted with him for Yasuke’s portrayal.
