Since its reveal in the PlayStations State of Play 2022, Callisto Protocol has been a speculation topic. From the game’s uncanny resemblance to Dead Space and the number of monsters we see in the trailer, all seems promising.

If you watch the Callisto Protocol trailer, you will get to know the different types of enemies that the protagonist of the game, Jacob Lee, will face in the survival horror. Striking Distance Studio head and Dead Space co-creator Glen Scofield in an interview with Game Informer, has spilled some details regarding the game.

In a quick-fire round of questions, when he was asked how many types of monsters can be found in the game to which he replies:

 “I think there’s around 10 or 11”

He was also asked whether the game will take you directly into the space or not to which he answered:

No. You will be outside from time to time but not in space

Of course, in the Dead Space games, we have some great quality combat, especially the final battle with the Hive that takes place in space. This is sort of a letdown for the people who were expecting the game to be more like Dead Space. But maybe Callisto Protocol has something up its sleeve that might be even better.

Also, we aren’t entirely sure whether the monsters Lee talked about are just the ones that wander in the setting or this includes the bosses as well. Despite everything, the trailer does make the game, seem promising.

The developers previously also revealed that they had been analyzing real-life gore to make the game as legitimate as possible and that does look the case owing to the amount of gore we see in the trailer. It will also focus a lot on melee combat rather than shooting and other stuff.

Callisto Protocol will also fea, whichecial PlayStation 5 features, along with the integration of haptic feedback of the Dual Sense controller. We are really looking forward to the game and it is expected to launch on Dec 2, 2022.
