Developer Seems To Have Received Substantial Funds Following Wukong's Success!

Story Highlight
  • S-Game has just released a new trailer for Phantom Blade Zero.
  • The trailer has exceeded everyone’s expectations, featuring an immense boss fight backed by a great soundtrack and graphics.
  • The combat also seems to have been improved a lot, increasing hype even more.

Phantom Blade Zero has been announced for a while now, and its hype is still continuously increasing. At first, the fandom was concerned that it wouldn’t look as good as it was shown in the trailer but everyone was shocked when its in-depth gameplay was revealed.

It exceeded expectations by a mile, and some even compared it with Sekiro. Now, the game’s second trailer has been released, and it would be fair to say that everyone is loving its intense and satisfying combat

Why it matters: There aren’t many games where combat can be compared to Sekiro. So, a game having such a great combat system is sure to stay on everyone’s radar.

S-Game has exceeded expectations yet again. The gameplay footage has surely earned the privilege of being called ‘absolute cinema.’ Graphics, art style, character designs, boss fight, soundtrack, and gameplay, everything has been cracked up a notch.

You can’t see this level of perfectness in the majority of AAA games nowadays. The footage shows the fight with the Chief Disciple of Seven Stars. Enemies are synced with each other, making the whole fight way more interesting.

Combo strings, parry, and perfect dodge look absolutely stunning. The first phase of this boss is so good that it probably would been enough. However, there is another phase, taking the fight to the next level.

As the second phase starts, the name changes to Chief Disciple’s Fallen Hope. In this phase, the boss’s moves and the soundtrack have evolved more. The attention to detail is yet another thing to notice. As noted by a user at 0:37, the enemies formed the Big Dipper Formation of the Quanzhen School; it’s a nod to the wuxia novels of Jin Yong.

Fans have been overly impressed with some saying, “This boss fight is pure cinema,” “MY JAW IS ON THE FLOOR!!!!!,” and “The amount of creativity in this boss fight is phenomenal.”

A new report has revealed that following Black Myth: Wukong’s success, S-Game received a substantial investment. This does make sense as the combat and everything seems to have been improved way too much. The game’s release date will be announced in 2025, but it is expected to be launched next year.
