Riot Games boasts some of the biggest live-service games in the FPS and MOBA genres, namely Valorant and League of Legends. Both popular titles have stood out for their longevity and fun gameplay, but they’re also notorious for having many cheaters.
Now, the studio is offering up to $100k bounty to find any hidden exploits in Vanguard anti-cheat.
Why it matters: Riot Games offering up to $100k bounty to discover various levels of exploits in Vanguard could ultimately lead to a smoother gameplay experience for Valorant and League of Legends players.
In a new listing on Hackerone, Riot Games wants you to discover vulnerabilities that can potentially be exploited—but you’re not allowed to reveal them to anyone else. The studio is now offering huge cash rewards for anyone who can find it within Vanguard’s kernel-level driver.
If you’re able to help us protect our players and their data by responsibly identifying new security issues for us to fix, you are awesome and we want to reward you.

A similar listing by Riot Games was also reported 4 years ago. Regardless, participants need to consider a lot of nuances before accepting the bounty—such as the level and type of exploit that they find—to be rewarded accordingly.
The minimum reward that any hacker can hope to earn is $250, with the amount ramping up from there based on how huge the exploit is.
