- As per a new leak from a credible source, Assassin’s Creed Invictus will allegedly feature Fall Guys-like gameplay.
- 16 players will compete in a round, with various games mixed within. Multiple game modes have been mentioned.
- There will be a team deathmatch mode and a speed mode to diversify the multiplayer gameplay.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has seen its fair share of ups and downs in the past. However, despite much controversy, it is showing signs of a noticeable resurgence with the next mainline entry set in Japan. On the flip side, Ubisoft appears to be going all out again with its eccentricities in the IP’s other in-development title, Assassin’s Creed Invictus.
The game’s first major leak scoop reveals that it will feature Fall Guys-like gameplay with 16 players competing in a round. Each round will feature an assortment of games mixed within to keep things intense and competitive.
Why it matters: The leak confirms that Assassin’s Creed Invictus will feature some interesting multiplayer gameplay heavily inspired by Fall Guys. However, the player reception has already started to falter after these recent findings.

As outlined on the Reddit post, the findings were discovered by the credible Assassin’s Creed leaker, J0nathan, who already boasts a solid track record with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. He mentioned that Assassin’s Creed Invictus will include multiple game modes, including the popular team deathmatch format, a speed game mode, and more.
The players can choose a unique power whenever they qualify for the next round. Additionally, you could choose from a motley of characters across the AC franchise; Ezio and Cesare Borgia have already been named.
The arcade-style gameplay will resemble Fall Guys in its structure, including a camera far from players, hits without real impact, and a “power shield” like seen in Smash Bros.
Lastly, the game maps will incorporate elements from the previous games, such as Baghdad, Japan, a Paradise Island map, and more.
All in all, player reception regarding the leaked gameplay is already quite mixed. But barely anything is known about Assassin’s Creed Invictus in the first place, so it is best to take these recent findings with a pinch of salt.
