Don't Damage Your Vision Pro!

With a starting price of $3,499, Apple’s Vision Pro has entered production and is officially available for pre-order. It turns out that this headset is not only expensive to buy but also quite heavy on the wallet if you want to get it repaired.

Apple has recently made the repair costs public. If you don’t have an AppleCare Plus insurance plan, be prepared to pay ridiculous repair costs.

Repairs are divided into two categories on the official support page: “Cracked Cover Glass” and “Other Damage.” While a crack cover glass will only cost $799, damaging the unit will set you back $2,399 in costs.

Furthermore, even in cases where the damage was unintentional, Apple will not replace the cover glass. It seems they will only fix manufacturing flaws for uninsured owners, and Apple does not specify how much it will cost to service batteries.

According to the website, the batteries will be fixed “for a fee” by a technician. It also won’t replace a battery that has degraded due to regular use. However, with AppleCare Plus for the Vision Pro, you can save a significant amount of money.

Insured consumers will only pay $300 for glass repair, as opposed to $799. This also includes unintentional damage and applies to other categories of damages, setting the user back only $300 instead of $2,400.

Regarding the AppleCare Plus extended warranty coverage, a user can have the headset repaired as many times as they like by authorized experts. However, each repair will set you back $300.

Additionally, for an extra $30, Apple technicians can repair broken accessories for the Vision Pro headset. Apple is currently offering two distinct plans for AppleCare Plus for the Vision Pro, including a monthly and fixed payment plan.

The fixed plan will set you back $499 for two full years, while the monthly plan will set you back $24.99. However, there is a condition for users who want to invest in AppleCare Plus.

Owners of Apple Vision Pro headset will need to purchase insurance with the headset at the time of purchase or within 60 days of making an online purchase. Although AppleCare Plus has an odd time limit, you would be better off acquiring it rather than paying $2,400 in repair costs.
