During a recent interview with Gamefile, the vice president of global services at PlayStation, Nick Maguire, talked about multiple things, including how the PS Plus Premium has been thriving the most. 

According to the vice president, PS Plus Premium has seen an 18% growth in the last 12 months, and Sony is looking to reinvest in the service.

The quality of games, hopefully people will appreciate, is probably improving year over year.

He further stated that the subscription service has experienced high growth in recent times and is seeking ways to further invest in the service, thereby bringing more value to its fans.

Although the total number of players subscribed to the subscription service remains unknown, it has been reported that Sony has surpassed 2 billion hours of gameplay.

The vice president refused to say anything on a question regarding the price hike. However, recent reports and hints from Sony suggest that a price hike may be forthcoming. Still, it’s best to wait for an official announcement.
