In recent times, we have seen various eye-catching first-party titles revealed in Xbox Showcase. While the list is quite long, one interesting revelation was the Fable Reboot.
More information regarding that title has been surfaced online. An insider claims that Fable shares similarities with The Witcher 3 and has the CDPR DNA.
Why it matters: If the alpha footage looks polished, the game will be much more polished at launch.
While the game trailers showed some glimpses of the combat and graphics of the title, today, an insider leaked interesting tidbits. Playground Games is taking inspiration from CDPR’s RPGs, as Fable will have Similarities with Witcher 3 in the mechanics, such as the usage of different swords and magic.

Moreover, the insider was very excited as the alpha footage looked very polished and had CDPR DNA, which means that Fable would also have the favorite mechanics of the CDPR RPGs.
He further revealed that Fable is in a mature direction with both story and enemy types, so the title will have terrifying creatures.
Also, there will be multiple options for the main protagonists, and the reboot is slated for release in 2025, making the year much more exciting. All in all, it’s alpha footage, so there will be more changes along the way.
Playground Games is going all out on Fable as the developer has expanded its branch with a third studio. Moreover, there are reports that Xbox aims to release the game on PS5 along with Halo and Gears.
