White House Acknowledging Halo's Arrival On PlayStation!

Story Highlight
  • The White House seems to be acknowledging the end of the console wars via a new social media post.
  • The post was an AI-generated image of Donald Trump wearing the Master Chief suit.
  • All major Xbox IPs are now on PlayStation.

With Halo finally arriving on PlayStation, all major Xbox franchises are now on the rival platform, marking the end of console wars for good. Xbox has gone a different route and no longer thinks of Team Blue as a threat.

As such, this has been a massive moment for the gaming community, with everyone, including the US government, weighing in on this matter. The official White House account on X just shared an AI-generated image of President Donald Trump as Master Chief, acknowledging this major highlight.

Why it matters: The involvement of White House on this matter shows how big a turning point this is for gaming as a whole now that the Xbox trinity of first-party games is on PlayStation.

GameStop originally posted a tweet officially declaring the end of the console wars, to which the White House quoted with an AI-generated image of Donald Trump.

The majority of the responses under the post aren’t very supportive, with some bashing the White House for using an AI-generated image and others criticizing Microsoft for ending the concept of exclusivity for Xbox consoles.

Now that it’s confirmed that future Halo games and other exclusives will remain on PlayStation going forward, the question arises: Why even buy an Xbox console? Microsoft remains committed to its first-party console plans, but earlier leaks suggest that they’re working on a premium device that will cost no less than $1000.

Xbox President Says Exclusives Are Outdated

At such a premium price tag that is out of most customers’ reach and without the benefits of exclusive first-party games, buying the next-gen Xbox is a no-go. However, the same console is said to be a PC hybrid with console-like capabilities, akin to the Xbox Ally X handheld.

Combined with the fact that you get the best of both PC and Xbox, the next-gen hybrid console may still be a good choice, but it depends on how much heat it will pack and whether Microsoft can justify such a high price.
