A German retailer, MediaMarkt and Saturn, has finally put a price on the upcoming handheld from Asus. The Asus ROG Ally is now priced at €800 in Germany. The handheld being sold is the high-end variant of the Asus ROG Ally that comes equipped with AMD Ryzen Z1 extreme chip coupled with 512 GB of storage.

There are no details on pricing on the Asus ROG Ally non-extreme variant but do expect it to be somewhere around €100 cheaper. The Asus ROG Ally is a powerful handheld console that comes equipped with AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads.

The high-end variant of Asus ROG Ally will also come equipped with 512 GB PCie Gen4 storage, 16 GB memory, and a 40 Wh battery. Furthermore, the console will also feature a 7-inch display with a peak brightness of 500 nits on a 120 Hz panel.

With a price tag of €800, the Asus ROG Ally certainly does cost more than its competitor. But the new handheld console from Asus also offers a lot more value for its price. The AMD Ryzen Z1 extreme chip is one of the most powerful APUs on the market.

It can play almost every game at 1080p with tweaked settings, but the same cannot be said about Valve Steam Deck, which is already being bottlenecked by its hardware. The Asus ROG Ally will be available starting the 13th of June, 2023, on MediaMarkt and Saturn.

Currently, the German retailer is only taking pre-orders. There is no information on the release date of the non-extreme variant, but everything should be revealed today in an event held by Asus, so keep an eye out.
