Arc Raiders has become a golden goose in the contentious live-service genre, hitting staggering sales milestones that no one expected. Popular streamer Shroud even believes it can surpass Fortnite, and that milestone seems more achievable than ever before.
The game continues to boast a consistent player base, averaging around 300K Steam players daily three months after launch.
Why it matters: Arc Raiders shows no signs of decline despite competing with several other live-service shooters. The player base often remains close to its all-time peak, especially on weekends.
SteamDB shows that Arc Raiders’ latest 24-hour peak was 375K, with similar scores on other weekends. Meanwhile, the shooter hovers around the 300-330K mark on working days. It previously also surpassed Helldivers 2’s all-time peak.
It’s also worth noting that Arc Raiders is a premium live-service title, while many other established games in the genre are free-to-play. This factor makes the consistency of Steam players over the last three months all the more surprising.
In comparison, the competitor Battlefield 6 has lost 80% of its player base in two months, while the F2P Highguard lost nearly all its players in just two days.
Regardless, a stable community is something very few established live-service titles share, while many other high-budget titles decline within a few weeks.
Despite issues with cheaters, Arc Raiders has also seen little to no criticism from the fans. These variables indicate that Arc Raiders now stands among the genre’s big leagues.
Embark Studios has also promised a slew of new content in its 2026 roadmap for the first four months, including a new map. Therefore, we may see a new all-time peak with the updates.
