- FromSoftware will allegedly reveal more about Duskbloods in the near future, as per a Chinese journalist.
- The studio had been prototyping with the project before 2019.
- The new rumors suggest it might be FromSoftware’s most experimental game so far.
Many people snagged a Switch 2 for one of its most anticipated and unexpected exclusives, FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, but not much has been revealed about it since the initial announcement. However, that could completely change in just the next few weeks.
Reliable Chinese journalist Giwin expects FromSoftware to focus on The Duskbloods soon. He claims that FromSoftware will first reveal a trailer for the 2 new characters in the Elden Ring: Neightreign DLC, followed by a final launch trailer for it.
After that, FromSoftware is expected to begin the marketing campaign for The Duskbloods.
Why it matters: FromSoftware may begin focusing on Duskbloods in the near future after marketing for the Elden Ring: Neighreign DLC wraps up. We may see a new trailer during the upcoming Game of the Year Awards.
As highlighted by YouTuber Ziostorm, The Duskbloods was greenlit even before Sekiro’s marketing began, so before 2019. Therefore, the studio has been prototyping and experimenting with its gameplay the longest out of all its other titles so far.
The next thing for NightReign DLC should be the trailers for the 2 new characters, followed by the final launch trailer. After that, I hope it’s finally time for DuskBloods to start dropping news.
-Chinese Journalist, Giwin.
Besides being PvEvP, the game reportedly features many innovative elements that FromSoftware is proud of, and we may learn about them in the near future. Insider Giwin expects the game to become a model for developers just like Sekiro did years ago.
The journalist is renowned for accurately leaking details about Elden Ring bosses like Radahn and Rykard. But we suggest taking his words with a grain of salt until official confirmation.

FromSoftware owns The Duskbloods IP, so we may see it eventually launch on PC and other platforms, unlike Bloodborne. The studio will also continue developing single-player games after Duskbloods to stay true to its established legacy.
The entry is expected to launch sometime in 2026, but we may learn more about the specifics in the upcoming Game Awards event.
Do you think The Duskbloods will prove to be one of the best FromSoftware titles to date, despite being a multiplayer experience? Are you looking forward to it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.
