Assassin’s Creed Shadows is undoubtedly one of the most controversial releases as the game has already been criticized for not offering accurate history and much more.
It was also noted recently that the game would feature both Denuvo DRM and account linking on Steam which received more criticism from the fans. However, it appears that fans have a lot more to know about Ubisoft’s upcoming title.
The game’s EULA has raised privacy concerns as Assassin’s Creed Shadows is asking for players to allow RAM monitoring.
Why it matters: Allowing a game to track your RAM usage can be a privacy risk because it might give the game access to personal information stored in your computer’s memory.
As the above screenshot shows, the game requires agreement with a 3rd-party EULA which asks for consent to monitor and analyze RAM usage.

It clearly suggests that the player’s privacy won’t be safe and raises concerns as the game will be analyzing what goes around in the RAM. This should also be noted that this is a required feature to play the game.
Many players think Ubisoft should make this optional for players as it shouldn’t be required to launch the game.
Nonetheless, this could hurt the game’s sales, as many players won’t be in favor of risking their privacy to enjoy the game. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to be released on 14th February 2025.
