IO Interactive has been working on a new James Bond game for nearly half a decade since the game was first announced in 2020.

While the developers have been quiet about the game, IO Interactive’s CEO stated that the development of the title had been going amazingly well last October.

The studio has just tweeted confirming that the next James Bond game is called 007 First Light, and more information is expected to be revealed during the Summer Game Fest. 

Why it matters: Recently, an insider has also suggested that Project 007 could be revealed during the SGF, and it looks more than true at the moment.

Just now, the official Twitter account of 007 First Light has made its first tweet, confirming the name of the title.

The tweet further confirms that fans can expect to hear more information about the title very soon.

As the game is set to be revealed later this week, it’s safe to predict that Summer Game Fest is the right event to tune in for more information.
