Xiaomi, world’s fourth largest smartphone selling brand is now officially launched in Pakistan after a couple of denials from the state officials.

After the Chinese company’s debut in 2011, the Xiaomi smartphones have been gradually making an entry in the South Asian states such as India and some parts of the Middle East. The smartphones then became available in different parts of the world and now officially available in Pakistan after a partnership with e-commerce distributor, Daraz.

The Xiaomi Smartphones are now available for purchase from Daraz.pk in Pakistan at affordable prices, while the smartphone’s after sales service will be provided by Smartlink Technologies. As of now, only three of the Xiaomi smartphones are available in the country and these are;

Xiaomi’s sales director showed company’s interest in launching other smartphones and series, such as the Mi Band 2 and the high-end Xiaomi Mix in the near future after estimating the Pakistani market. Other Chinese smartphone brands such as Huawei and Oppo are available in the country and have been advertised for a while on the social, electronic and print media.

While the country’s major carrier service, Zong has announced partnership with Xiaomi and will be selling the smartphones with the limited time voice, SMS and internet bundles.

Xiaomi smartphones in Pakistan are available from today and let’s see how the brand performs in the country, especially the urban areas since the handsets are available only on e-commerce channel and not the retail stores.
