A number of companies have already announced their quarterly performance reports and now analysts have the latest information about the big giant in the market of smartphones.  The company IDC and Strategy Analytics simultaneously declared that the Chinese company XIaomi over the past year has made ​​a significant leap forward in this way and successfully got to the top five.

IDC experts say that the quantitative statistics for the third quarter represent that, Xiaomin has become the world’s third largest smart phone manufacturer with 17.3 million sales of mobile devices. This represents 5.3% of the global market share.

On top of the ranking Samsung is smiling with 23.8% during this year, they have about 35% of the market share. In the second place Apple with 12%.

Strategy Analytics reports tell us the story that, Xiaomi during the quarter sold 18 million smart phones, but its market share is only 3.9%.

IDC estimates that in Q3 2014, vendors shipped a total of 327.6 million units, an increase of 25.2 percent from the same period a year ago, and 8.7 percent from the Q2 2015. The largest growth demonstrates inexpensive devices in emerging markets. By the way, the only one of the top five Samsung during the year reduced the smart phone sales (-8.2%), while the greatest progress has shown from the Xiaomi side with growth of 211%, if we see previous years.
