Along with the smartphones, Xiaomi announced the Mi Notebook Pro, a lightweight and compact notebook built around a 15.6-inch panel. Thanks to a magnesium body where this IPS panel with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is capable of covering a range of 72% NTSC color protected by the Gorilla Glass. The new Xiaomi My Notebook Pro is equipped with Intel’s 8th Generation Coffee Lake processors.
We can choose between a dual core processor such as Core i5-8250U @ 3.40 GHz or quad core such as Core i7-8550U @ 4.00 GHz, both linked to 8 GB of RAM along with a 256 GB M.2 SSD, supported by dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory.
Xiaomi My Notebook Pro also features a full-size backlit keyboard (19% larger than the MacBook Pro) with push-buttons (1.5 mm), offers advanced connectivity in the form of two UBS 3.0 ports, two USB Type-C (one high-power for laptop charging), one video output in the form of HDMI 2.0, an SD card reader, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack connector for headphones, Harman Infinity speakers, precision touchpad with fingerprint reader and a 60 Wh battery that charges in just 35 minutes. All this gives us a laptop weighing 1.95 kg with 19.5 mm thickness.
The Xiaomi My Notebook Pro comes with Windows 10 64-bit pre-installed. As for the recommended price, the version with the Intel Core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM is estimated by the manufacturer at 6,999 yuan ($ 1,075), the model with Core i7 and 8 GB of RAM will cost at least 6399 yuan ($ 985), and the recommended cost of the base configuration (Core i5 and 8 GB of RAM) is 5599 yuan ($ 860).
