After plenty of leaks hinting at the specs of Xiaomi’s forthcoming flagship, the Mi 5, a new report has recommended the release date of the smartphone.

According to a Chinese site, IT168 ( by Android Headlines ), the Xiaomi Mi 5 may release in October or November of this year. Whilst the release date is yet to be affirmed by Xiaomi, it collapses in line with the earlier report that hinted the smartphone to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, that is yet to be declared by the firm. A leaked roadmap from previously this month also pointed out that the flagship to release by November 15  of this year.

The report, besides the tentative release date of Mi 5, also pointed out that the device might provide a 5.5-inch display together with 4GB of RAM and 16GB or 64GB of integrated storage. This however differs from the latest leak that said that the handset to house a 5 .2-inch display. The recent report also contradicts a report from before this month that came through Weibo and pointed out that the Mi 5 to release in July.

Several of the other rumored features of the Xiaomi Mi 5 from earlier leaks tell about a fingerprint scanner, QHD ( 1440×2560 pixels ) resolution display, 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and also an essential 3,000mAh battery.

Earlier reports have even pointed out that the details of the rumored Mi 5 Plus handset which will apparently release together with the Mi 5. The phablet is predicted to feature a 6-inch QHD display with a design sporting a practically bezel-less display. Further specs consist of a 4GB of RAM, 32GB of integrated storage, and a 16-megapixel rear camera.
