When Nier: Automata was announced for PlayStation 4 and PC, fans of Xbox One were disappointed by the decision of the studio. Now the game’s producer, Yosuke Saito said that they are considering Xbox One version, but it will depend on how successful the initial launch of the game turns out.
Nier: Automata Will Be Optimized For PlayStation 4 Pro
During an interview with Game Rant, Saito said that the studio considers take the game to the Xbox One, but this will depend on how well sales are on other platforms.
Saito also revealed that the game will be optimized for the PlayStation 4 Pro and the team want to get the game to run at 60 frames per second with 4K resolution on the console.
“Yes, it will be optimized for the PS4 Pro,” Saito said. “It will keep the 60 FPS [of the game running normally] while we are trying to optimize it to have 4K quality graphics as well.”
Developed jointly between Square Enix and Platinum Games, Nier: Automata is the post-apocalyptic sequel to the original Nier released for PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is exclusive to the PS4, but it will come to Steam in 2017.
Nier: Automata will be released in Japan on February 23, 2017 and in the West in the first half of next year.
