Earlier today, Microsoft announced a new game subscription service called as the Xbox Game Pass, which will grant access to more than 100 console titles.

The Xbox Game Pass is a new subscription service from Microsoft for its Xbox One console that will allow users to download more than 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 backwards compatible games for $9.99 per month. According to the studio, these titles will be from industry’s top game publishers such as 2K, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters and many others.

The service will be different from Sony’s PlayStation Now, which only allows game streaming. While the Xbox Game Pass will allow users to download full games along with the DLCs. Additionally, the subscribers will be able to get discounts on almost all the games in the Xbox catalog. The studio will keep updating the games’ cycle every month, so players will be able to download new titles the next month.

One of the best things about Xbox Game Pass is that you can discover and download the full titles directly on your Xbox One. That means continuous, full-fidelity gameplay without having to worry about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues.

The service includes a rich list of the game publishers, except EA, which has its own service called as EA Access already available on the Xbox One. The service will be tested by some of the Xbox Insiders in the preview with a limited number of titles before it goes live sometime in late Spring, while Xbox Live Gold members will be getting early access to the service. Stay tuned for more updates!
