It was reported before that the patch 1.07 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is on its way for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The catalog of the patch 1.07 was also revealed on the official forum of CD Projekt RED. It was being said that the patch will fix all the remaining issues like frame rate dropping issue on the PS4 and Xbox One and other issues as well.
One report also confirmed about the similar issue after the installation of this patch and both the consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are having frame rate issue. The framerate issue on the consoles is one of the main issue and it was expected that the upcoming patch will fix this issue, as it was also confirmed by Marcin Momit, Community Manager at CD Projekt RED.
As per the report, the new patch locks game at 20 fps on the PS4.
“Essentially, gameplay on Xbox One now appears to rely on a similar double-buffer v-sync set-up to the PS4 game, locking its frame-rate to 20fps during these lulls in performance. This means that the reading on our graph is consistently lower on patch 1.07 as compared to 1.05, where it was free to waver between 20-30fps freely. On a matching route through the bog, frame-rate can be up to 8fps slower on the latest version of the game.” – Digital Foundry
A video was also published on YouTube by the Digital Foundry comparing the frame rates after new patch on Xbox One and PS4.
The developers responded on twitter regarding the reports about the issues after this new patch.
