According to the market research report by IDC, they are collecting data on the market share of mobile Phones. Recently released the market share of all mobile phone markets in Q3 of 2013. The report clearly revealed that the last year Windows Phone mobile phone shipments increased around 91%, if we compare it with the previous year record (2012), but still the top two positions are in control of Andriod and iOS with a huge gap.

Windows 8 Phone

In the third quarter of 2013, the Windows Phone shipment increased with a huge leap around 156% in the Q4, an increase of 46%. Windows Phone shipments in the fourth quarter year on year growth over Android (40%) and iOS (6.7%). In 2013 the shipments of windows phone are around 33.4 Million, an increase of 91% if we compare it with 2012.

Additionally, Still Windows phones are not making the huge mark on the Global market share and still at 3.3% of the Global Mobile Phone Market. Last year, Android continues to dominate the market share of 78.6%, iOS’s shipments grew approximately 13% over the same period last year, but never share fell 18.7% in 2012 to 15.2%.

In 2013 the global smart phone shipments exceeded one billion, with shipments up 39%.
