Microsoft today announced its own file recovery tool called Windows File Recovery. This tool is designed to recover the files that you have deleted by mistake, although it is not very easy to use, as it is handled by the command line application to recover a wide variety of files and documents from local hard drives, USB drives and even external SD cards used in camera or smartphone, or we can say that you will be able to recover data from any current physical format.

Windows File Recovery

Like any file recovery tool, you should use it as soon as possible on deleted files to make sure they have not been overwritten. You will be able to use the new Microsoft tool to recover MP3, MP4, PDF, JPEG files and typical Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, it supports drives with an NTFS, FAT, exFAT and ReFS file system.

The first criticisms of Windows File Recovery focus on the same thing that it not easy to use if you are not an advanced user, and for those who are not, there are already very good and equally free tools such as Recuva. If you want to try the Microsoft tool, you only need to have Windows 10 with the May 2020 Update and download it from the following link.
