On August 1st Microsoft updated the “Microsoft Services Agreement” which means accepting the prohibition of the use of pirated software or hardware is not authorized in Windows 10. The new Windows 10 operating system policy clearly states:

“Sometimes you’ll need software updates to keep using the Services. We may automatically check your version of the software and download software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices.”

This means that Microsoft can block any software on your computer that is installed unlawfully. Obviously, this can not be categorized as something negative, as might argue that this is not a problem for players / professionals  who opt for the original software and this only applies to the pirates.

Regarding unauthorized hardware, really we know that it could be possible because it might imply that changing a system board and considers that such copy is being used by several teams and could give us problems. Games may add an extra problem for those users who make use of mod’s not official, which could cross out an original game as a pirate to be modified.
