The new monthly survey data of Steam Hardware and Software for the month of June 2016 has been published recently which shows that increase in the adoption of Windows 10 64 Bit by most of the PC gamers lately.

The report states that there is an increase of up to 3.26% as compared with last month in the usage of Windows 10 64 bit. And the new percentage usage stands at 42.94%, making it the most popular operating system on the Steam, while the Windows 7 64 Bit took the second position with 30.61 percentage usage with a decline of 1.64%.

It must be noted that the Microsoft offered the new operating system for free for almost a year since its release and the free offer will be ending this July 29th. So we may expect more increase in the usage in next month’s survey data. Windows market dominates Steam with up to 95.5% usage, then comes Mac OSX with 3.60% usage and then there’s Linux with 0.80% usage percentage.

While the data also provide figures of VR Headset, which shows most of the users own HTC Vive with a 0.06% increase this month and Oculus Rift taking second position. Stay tuned for more updates!
