One of the most anticipated game of this year from Ubisoft’s camp is the Watch Dogs 2. The game’s release is almost here and the developers have revealed more information regarding the forthcoming sequel and the improvements made as compared with the first installment of the franchise.
It appears that the studio has learned from the mistakes made in the original Watch Dogs and now trying to bring more impressive features to make sure that the upcoming Watch Dogs 2 will appeal and attract more gamers.
While speaking with the MCV, the marketing director of the Watch Dogs 2, Mark Slaughter confirmed that the team indeed listened to the requests of the fans and learned from the mistakes made in the original title and did their best to improve the sequel based on the feedbacks from the fans of the first game.
During the interview, he said that the game will have more relevant narrative and deeper characterization and much more. Here’s his full statement;
There will be a more relevant narrative with deeper characterization; a fresh, lighter tone, more creative hacking options, better driving and a seamless online experience. Add to this more choice on how to approach challenges and a great sense of dynamism and variety in the game world and the team have worked very hard to produce a strong offering that the players will love.
According to Slaughter, previews of the Watch Dogs 2 are ‘overwhelmingly positive‘ so far and they have got some really high expectations as well. Last month, it was announced that the game’s release on PC has been pushed by almost two weeks and the new release date announced was November 29th. Reason behind the delay was some extra time required by the studio to polish the game.
The game is scheduled for release on November 15th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while on November 29th for PC. Players who pre-order the game will receive a new mission called Zodiac Killer, in which a ghost from the past of San Francisco has resurfaced after nearly 50 years. Upon completing the mission, the player unlocks an exclusive outfit.
