One of the most anticipated game of this year, Watch Dogs 2 released last week for the current-gen consoles. Looking at the hype among the fans, one could have easily predicted game being a massive hit, but apparently, that’s not the case. Atleast not in the United Kingdom.

Watch Dogs 2 First Week Sales Drops 80% In UK As Compared with Watch Dogs

According to the data released by Gfk Chart Track, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 maintains its position at number 2, behind the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. Despite negative reaction from many fans, the Activision’s Call of Duty Infinite Warfare enjoys 1st spot in the UK for about three weeks in a row.

According to the Gfk Chart Track, Watch Dogs 2 “narrowly” misses the first spot and the sales of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare were down about 46% last week. Looking at the figures provided by the chart-track, it can be said that around 80,000 units of Watch Dogs 2 have been sold yet in the region, about 80% drop as compared with the original Watch Dogs that managed to sell around 380,000 units in its first week.

It must be noted that the data doesn’t include the record of digital sales of the game across all the three platforms, while the game is yet to be released on the PC. Combined sales figures from all the may change whole situation for the game and Ubisoft.

Previous game in the franchise gained the momentum right after the first E3 2012 trailer that showcased some incredible graphics, however the game criticized later by many as most of the gamers reported graphics downgrade in the actual game and the game was released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well, another of the factor contributing towards more sales.
