Ubisoft does it again! The launch of Watch Dogs 2 has been listed as a fiasco from the original game and now we know that the title also turn to be quite repetitive and boring after some time, although the game debuted a week ago with a peak of 18,113 players in one hour (compared to the peak of 47,000 players in the original), but now you will find an average of 9000 players (9,604 players yesterday), which means that there is already an average of 47 percent drop. The players per hour average is brought down even further with the game dropping to slightly under 5,000 users per hour when factoring in prime after school/work hours in the U.S. each day.
Watch Dogs 2: 47% Of Players On PC Already Left The Game
Ubisoft apologized in a statement to the PcGamer website:
“We expect both week-two and week-three sales to be above traditional sales patterns. There is a trend toward games, especially high-quality games, having stronger and longer ‘tails’ as favorable reviews and word of mouth spread. Watch Dogs 2 is already considered a tremendous addition to the open-world action adventure series and we’re confident that millions of players are going to love it”.
Obviously Ubisoft wants to remove weight issue, but we must remember that today Watch Dogs 2 is being given away with the purchase of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, GeForce GTX 1070 and also on the motherboards of certain manufacturers, and even Samsung is giving this game with purchase on next generation SSDs, although they are giving away the game right and left, but still they save it from the big failure of building up.
