USB 3.1 port is now among us but most of the motherboards are not equipped with it. To overcome with such situation Sharkoon announced the launch of its  USB 3.1 Host Controller Card, a card format PCI-Express x1 that makes use of the controller Asmedia ASM1142 to offer two USB 3.1 ports Type A that achieve speeds of up to 10Gbps (1.25 GB / s), although it should be noted that a PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slot will give us a maximum of 985 MB / s, in the case of a PCIe 2.0 x1 up to 500 MB / s.

The card requires a SATA connector for power and is priced at 34.99 euros, logically for high today when this port has no use, since many devices today are not able to seize or USB 3.0 ports.
