As announced earlier this year, one of the most popular game franchise in the gaming history, Assassin’s Creed will not be released this year as the developers had decided to break the cycle of annual release. Ubisoft confirmed that the studio thinks that they need some time to redesign the game’s story and work on more better Assassin’s Creed game.

There have been several rumor based reports regarding the next game in the series, reportedly called as Assassin’s Creed Empire and its plot that reveals that the game is set in Egypt with a new protagonist. However, until the official confirmation, we will continue to prefer it under the category of rumors.

Recently, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot while speaking with the GameSpot hinted that the next game may not be released in the 2017. “And that isn’t necessarily 2017”, “It will be back when it’s ready. That’s when we feel we have something there.” replied the CEO to the question whether the game will release next year or not. He said that,

‘What we saw in the development of the next [Assassin’s Creed] was that we had an opportunity to take it to another level. So we said we’ll take all the time it takes to make the experience fantastic’.

‘It was feasible because we have other games. There’s a huge potential in this game to revolutionize the IP, so we said, “Let’s make sure we change our model so we have more time and that we can bring back a greater experience.”
