Another shooter of this year, the Titanfall 2 is all set for release within next few weeks, while the excitement among shooter fans is on the rise. Respawn Entertainment announced the sequel early last year after getting a positive response from the gaming community. Though the game was not released on all the platforms and without having any single-player mode, still it managed to get a huge response that led developers to work on the new game.

News of the day is that Titanfall 2 has gone Gold, according to the developer Vince Zampella at Respawn Entertainment. Zampella tweeted the word, while congratulating the team behind Titanfall 2. Game going Gold refers that the finished project is now under the hands of publishers who will start the work of discs production of the game.

On the other hand, developers also confirmed the good news that the game will not be getting any big day one patch, which is normal nowadays with any game’s release. According to the producer, Drew McCoy the studio has already worked a lot on the game and its testing to make sure that players don’t face any issues, which is indeed a positive sign of a great development from the studio. Here’s what he said on the reddit forums;

No game ever ships without tons of people putting in insane amounts of time and effort towards the end. Lots of people have already had some time “on call” (not in the office, but need to be able to come in and fix any show-stopper bugs if needed), but there’s a bunch of us that have been cranking nonstop to get the game on disc. End in sight, though! Prep for launch day is looking good, that tech test really helped get our backend services ready. No 10GB day one patch here 🙂

Titanfall 2 is scheduled for release on October 28th, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Recently, the studio announced a Coliseum mode for the game which will allow 1 on 1 matches for the players. However, access to the mode will be granted to only limited players who win the code with some promotional activities. Stay tuned for more updates!
