Following constant updates to Denuvo protection, the first versions were implemented in titles like Lords of the Fallen, Dragon Age: Inquisition (cracked after a month of its release), FIFA 16 (still without crack), Mad Max, Metal Gear Solid V, Battlefield: Hardline and Batman: Arkham Knight, the Chinese cracking group 3DM commented on their frustration at the time of the last update to crack the Denuvo protection, found in Just Cause 3, a title that has not been fully cracked after more than one month of its launch.

No More Pirated Games in Two Years, Cracking Group Warns

Attention Pirates: Grand Theft Auto V PC Version to Use the Denuvo DRM, Same Protection as FIFA 15

Although one assumes that eventually crackers are always returning to the wards, the Chinese group already has almost given up on Just Cause 3, stating that the last stage of cracking is extremely difficult to break.

“I still believe that this game can be compromised. But according to current trends in the development of encryption technology, in two years time I’m afraid there will be no free games to play in the world,” she adds.

Keep in mind that the Denuvo protection has been implemented in the aforementioned titles, but many developers and publishers decided to use the same for their future game releases, the world could come to cracks, or last resort, having to wait many months to play a game without paying.

However, remember that protections like Starforce 3, the famous software copy protection developed by the Russian company was cracked in no less than 424 days after being implemented in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Now pirated games? Only time will tell.
