The Technomancer Runs at 900p and 30 FPS on Xbox One
The word came from Jehanne Rousseau, CEO of Spiders, during his recent interview regarding their upcoming RPG, which was expected to run at 1080p and 30 FPS on both the consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Spiders’ CEO stated,
We are in the final phase of optimizing The Technomancer, and improvements are still underway. We have had to make several decisions which have allowed us to maintain the richness of the game’s fluidity and environments. As such, we’ve decided to use a 900p resolution on Xbox One, which ensures a detailed and smooth experience.
Moreover, the studio also believes that the 7th core on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which was recently unlocked didn’t resulted in any huge performance gain on both the consoles. He said,
Regarding the 7th processor, this was a good addition to help us achieve our objectives. The gain is not huge on PS4 or Xbox One, but it was helpful for squeezing out a bit of extra power.
Regarding the resolution matters on PC, he mentioned that there isn’t limitation set nor they have any plans for it. But they might consider, depending upon the situation.
“…For the PC version we have no plan to cap the frame rate. But again, we may be forced to do so if this cause instability problems. Anyway if this is the case, the cap will be high.”
The Technomancer is upcoming Sci-Fi, RPG set for release sometime in Summer 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
