New action, sci-fi title The Surge is now gold. As confirmed by the developers and publishers, the title has entered the phase of shaping the game in physical discs almost a month before its release date.

In its press release, the publisher Focus Home Interactive revealed more information related to the game’s PS4 Pro version. According to the studio, The Surge will be getting better visuals for the PS4 Pro community and they will be able to choose between the two resolutions i.e., UHD 4K running at 30 FPS and 1080p at 60 FPS after the day one update. Furthermore, the platform will be getting High Dynamic Range (HDR) support after some time from its release with the updates.

A couple of months ago, the developer Deck13 reported that they are targeting 1080p on the PS4 and 900p on the Xbox One. So far, it is believed that the Xbox One will be running The Surge on 900p at 30 fps.

The game is set in a futuristic world where technology and innovation has took over which results in a decline of human labor who must work for their survival and the increasing environmental pollution.
