Valve Software today revealed the date of the upcoming Steam sales, together with the finalists of the Steam 2018 Awards, which will be chosen by the community.

Voting will begin on December 20, coinciding with the start of the twelfth annual Steam winter sales. The Steam Winter Sale event will begin on December 20, 2018 at 9:55 a.m. (Pacific Time) and will last until January 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time).

Notes on the category of Best Developer:

Best Developer has turned out to be a highly contested category, with very little difference between the main nominees. Therefore, Steam expanded the number of candidates to ten. In addition, Steam excluded itself from this category.
