The foundation of Assassin’s Creed could be set in Japan rumours are based on the three symbols observed at the end of Assassin’s Creed 3, released in 2012. While the Eye of Horus is attributed to Assassin’s Creed Origins and the letter Omega (twenty-fourth and last letter of the Greek alphabet) represents the recently launched Assassin’s Creed Odyssey , the third symbol suggests Feudal Japan is the next location.

If this turns out to the be the case then it’s not too much of a stretch to believe that a Japanese title is the next in the series – with the torii potentially meaning we’re finally going to Feudal Japan.

This is an exciting prospect, as fans have been asking for a visit to the world of Assassins and Templars in Feudal Japan since the release of Assassin’s Creed II.
