After a number of delays and years of waiting, the PlayStation 4 exclusive The Last Guardian has finally made it through the development process and gone gold (entered the phase of shipment).

Team Ico took about ten years in developing one of the most awaited game for the PlayStation gamers. The studio also reported some of the problems that occurred during the game’s development, which was also reason behind a number of delays. Initially, the game was announced for PlayStation 3, but in 2012, it was confirmed for the PlayStation 4 so the game’s enhancements can be fully utilized without any compromise.

Thankfully, the is finally completed despite all of problems and complications. Sony Studios worldwide president, Shuhei Yoshida announced the news on Twitter, sharing his excitement. He’s happy to announce that the players will be finally be able to experience one of the long awaited game.

A couple of months ago, the game designer discussed the game’s shift from PS3 to PS4 while saying that the game wouldn’t be able to deliver the experience he ‘envisioned‘.

During E3 2016, The last Guardian was confirmed for release on October 25th, until last month when the game was again delayed for a couple of weeks. The delay was announced by Sony’s worldwide president who mentioned that the game is encountering some bugs that needs to be fixed.
