The Division has been released for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 and now we have good news for Ubisoft fans and Ubisoft, as it is the game that has sold more copies during that period of time in the history of the developers. Unfortunately, no details were implemented, but most of those sales come through digital copies. Yver Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, said “The launch of The Division is a tremendous achievement for Ubisoft, and demonstrates our unrivaled capacity to create fantastic new game brands and transform them into entertainment blockbusters“.

Guillemot continued: “This is a momentous day for Ubisoft, but more importantly it marks the start of millions of players’ enduring engagement in The Division’s game world, which we are confident they will love”.

This means that any Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs or any other game from Tom Clancy’s  did not sell as well in its launch as The Division. Although we do not have concrete numbers of copies sold, sources indicate that they have broken all possible records on every platform when it was officially released.

Previously, the developers revealed their plan regarding the game’s DLCs but recently, Microsoft has made a deal with the Ubisoft, and according to the reported terms, first two expansion packs will be released for Xbox One exclusively, for a month. After 30 days of exclusivity, they will be released for the rest of the two platforms as well.
