Ubisoft’s new extreme sports open-world title, Steep will be available for the PC and console gamers for free this weekend.

Steep is an open-world game taking place in the Alps and includes skiing, snowboarding, paragliding and wingsuit flying in the highest mountain peaks. The game focuses on the multiplayer, where players go skiing and other activities in the toughest conditions with their friends and other players.

There will be racing and other exploration activities aside the missions for those who wish to play with their friends. Interestingly, the game features “collide” option which enables the players to bump into their fellow mates as well.

Steep free-to-play will go live in the following timings for PC, PS4 and Xbox One;

  • Xbox One: 10th March at 8:01am GMT to 13th March at 7:59am GMT
  • PS4: 10th March at 6pm GMT to 13th March at 6pm GMT
  • PC: 10th March at 6pm GMT to 13th March at 6pm GMT

While those who wish to buy Steep during free-to-play weekend will be offered a 40% discount of the game’s retail price and get all the game progression transferred to their account. Check out the free weekend trailer of the game below;

The game was released in December for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while the game’s Nintendo Switch port is also due sometime later this year. Stay tuned for more updates!
