The Steam Deck has begun to reach more hands to offer a close-up look, and this is leading to more information about the console, such as its performance compared to other products that rival the same market as the Aya Neo Vega, console that shares the use of AMD Zen2 cores, but of course, at the graphics level there is an important difference in performance between the two consoles.

While the Steam Deck uses a Custom Van Gogh APU with 4 cores and 8 threads based on Zen2 architecture running @ 3.50 GHz, and an AMD RDNA2 graphics with 512 Stream Processors @ 1.60 GHz, the Aya Neo Vega uses 6 cores and 6 threads @ 4.00 GHz, but with VEGA graphics with 384 Stream Processors @ 1.50 GHz.

This in terms of performance, taking a very well polished game such as DOOM Eternal, the Steam Deck runs game @59 FPS on average, the Aya Neo conforms to 37 FPS, which basically implies a performance difference of 59.4 percent, so we should expect even better performance with final version of the console as AMD and Valve are also increasing Steam Deck CPU performance on Linux. The biggest disadvantage being that Aya’s console is more expensive, so basically Valve forces this market to offer more competitive prices, and if they are not able to do so, it will basically force them to leave the market.
