Finally, a moment of joy for Star Wars fans as the developing studio DICE has confirmed that the game will be getting offline single player mode very soon.
Most of the fans were disappointed after the game’s release soon after they found out that the game doesn’t feature any single player mode. The studio also hinted that they are working on an offline mode for the game which will be coming very soon due to ‘high demand‘ of the players.
Recently, offline mode in the game was leaked by a reddit user named as ‘Instant Action‘ with a screenshot attached to the post with a small description which showed that the players can play offline with the bots or any friend.
Anyhow, the studio has confirmed that the offline mode named as Skirmish is all set for release next week, allowing players to game offline with the bots or with a friend in co-op split screen mode. The update from the Star Wars website indicates that the mode will be available for console gamers only.
The new mode will be available starting July 20 and offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen. (Console only) Skirmish can be played on a difficulty level of your choosing and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron. With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront.
It will also add a couple of difficulty levels. It is also expected that the mode might get released for PC gamers in the coming weeks, although, there is no confirmation as of yet.
Star Wars Battlefront is a first person shooter developed by DICE for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned for more updates!
