Last week, EA DICE revealed the upcoming action title Star Wars Battlefront 2, one of the most anticipated game of this year. Since then, we have received more information related to the title.
It was clearly announced that the Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be having fan requested single player campaign mode and recently, the game’s creative director shared new insights of the sequel. While speaking with Mashables the other day, Bernd Diemer revealed that the game will not have the traditional season pass.
But he indicated that the team is working on something new instead. During his interview, he said that;
“I cannot talk about the specifics of this, but we have something different in mind that will allow you to play longer, be [more] invested in the game without having a fragmented community,”
It appears that the developers at DICE are working hard and reviewing the positive feedbacks from the Star Wars community to deliver a great experience and learn from the previous mistakes. Those who purchased the season pass of Star Wars Battlefront were given new game modes and maps, which resulted in the division of the game’s player base.
He said that the situation got ‘dangerous‘ for them as the community was divided to a few players who purchased the additional content and have matches in different game modes. He further added;
‘You know what? For this type of game, season passes are not the best thing. We need to [take it apart] and come up with something better.
He further affirmed that the team has listened to the community’s feedback “loud and clear” and they will continue delivering the experience to the fans. While more plans regarding the Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be revealed in the coming months.
