Square Enix has decided to cancel the program of pre-purchase of Deux Ex: Divided Mankind, which has given them so much frustration within the community.

Square Enix cancels the “Augment your pre-order” program for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

“Augment your pre-order” is a system that has already been used in several Steam games, which counts the number of pre-reaching for various accomplishments, and thus provide different prizes between those who purchase the game before launch.

“We understand very well and appreciate the passion that fans have shown us by Deus Ex” said David Anfossi, head of Eidos-Montréal studio. “Know that all of us at Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal, also share that same passion for the franchise.”

A large majority of the negative comments came from different levels of pre-order program and the requirements necessary to unlock them. Therefore, taking into account feedback from fans, the levels of pre-order program has been eliminated and all content associated with the program will now be available to all who make the pre-order or purchase the 1st Edition Deus Ex: Divided Mankind. Additionally, the release date will not be modified as in the pre-order program and all have access to the game on February 23, 2016.
