Sony is one of the most important manufacturer in the mobile market. Many people are associated with it mainly in smartphones and indeed the Japanese manufacturer has offered a variety of tablets. Recent reports, however, focus on the latter.

For a long time, there are several reports in the air that Apple has planned to launch Apple iPad Pro with a very large screen of about 12inches. This rumor is not taking place particularly fast and Sony has just decided to take the advantage of this rumor.

DigiTimes sources claim that the Japanese manufacturer also extends its range of tablet with a large screen, the same proposal being offered by Apple, but with the more distinctive specification in order to compete with high-end devices.

According to the reports it would feature 12.9″screen with a resolution of 3840×2400 pixels, the processor would be from the family of Snapdragon, 8 megapixels camera and the latest version of Google’s Android. What’s more, all of this is to be enclosed in a slim tablet, because measuring thickness would be about 8.6 mm.

Mass production of this tablet would be started in the first quarter of next year and should it will hit stores in June. We are still waiting for the official information. But it seems that it could be a really interesting proposal.
