Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 was announced in 2014 by City Interactive, with a release date set in 2016. The game’s release was rescheduled for January 27th, 2017 a couple of months ago to work on the game’s details and today, the developer studio announced the second delay in the game’s release, revealing that more time is required for optimizing and polishing the game.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed Again

The game’s release has been delayed until April 4th, 2017. According to the developers, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is one great game and they want to ensure that the game runs smoothly across all the platforms, meeting the expectations of their fans. The CEO of City Interactive said that;

“We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans. Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimising the game. This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished.”

He further asked all of the followers to understand the reason behind the delay as they are truly excited about their upcoming shooter which will redefine the Sniper Ghost Warrior series and the game category. He termed the game as the new beginning for the franchise.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is an open-world game set in Georgia, near the Russian border. We’ll be playing as the American shooter Jonathan North, who is on his mission of finding out his brother.  In this region, we can explore huge open-world scenarios with dynamic weather and cycles of day / night. Of course, this will have not only a visual effect but also impact on our gameplay. The game is due for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
