On last month Google released Android Lollipop and at first give the priority to its own Nexus 6,  Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 to upgrade to the new system. Nexus 9 is using an NVIDIA Tegra K1 of 64-bit processors, and NVIDIA’s own Shiled tablet is equipped with a 32-bit Quad-core Tegra K1. Halloween was the best day for announcing something new which is somewhat related to your flavor and this opportunity was availed by Nvidia on Halloween, suggesting that Android 5.0 Lollipop is coming to the Shield Tablet.

Shield Tablet acquiring Android 5.0 Lollipop Soon

Techreport site editor Scott Wasson received a mug full of lollipops and a note from the Shield team. There’s also a Shield Tablet cover emblazoned with the Android Lollipop logo. Actually meaning is very clear –Shield will soon upgrade to Android 5.0 tablet lollipop, but the specific date has not been announced.

We can say it will be the first update for Nvidia Shield Table as now they are running Android 4.4. Nexus 0 and Shield Tablet both are using the same processor, so upgrade is also too easy.
