Begin as a simple tribute to recreate some of the locations of the Shadow Moses Island, now it has become a complete remake of the acclaimed Metal Gear Solid.

Shadow Moses gets Unreal Engine 4 remake First Trailer Unveiled

Today — with the trailer having racked up around 100,000 views over Facebook and YouTube in under 24 hours — lead engineer Airam Hernandez posted a message recognizing that publisher Konami possesses the copyright on the Metal Gear Solid series and has not, as of now, given authorization for Shadow Moses to continue.

We just need to clarify something:

Konami owns the MGS copyright and therefore sooner or later we will need their full permission.

We have therefore chosen to openly share this project from the beginning so that we can deal with any issues that may arise as they come.
We believe this is better than putting years of work into a project only to get it shut down.

Please, respect this decision.

Thanks for your attention,

The Gamer iRam independent development studio today presents the first trailer.

Although on the twitter Konami too shares publications of Shadow Moses, is uncertain if at any time the Japanese company will send them a cease and desist letter to these devoted fans. Hopefully not, because this remake has a lot of paint.

“The first objective of this project was to recreate just the Shadow Moses environments and make a “museum game” to those who wanted to explore the base with current technology,” says creator Airam Hernandez on the game’s Facebook page. “My surprise was that after a few weeks, everybody was talking about it! So many online magazines started writing articles and I received a lot of messages offering help and support. That’s the reason I decided to remake the entire game!”
