It seems like Samsung is going to take the GPU chip charged out of their next Note with their own, we are talking about Samsung Galaxy note 5. According to the latest news Sasmung is allegedly preparing in house GPU for Note 5 in order to replace the Mali T760 found on the Exynos 7 Octa which was recently giving its job to Note 4. If we talk about Mali T760 which is manufactured by ARM is the competitor of Qualcomm’s Adreno 420.

Samsung To Manufacture In House GPU To Power The Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Before this leak there are lots of rumors in the air about the new applications from Samsung to replace ARM’s cores found in its current Exynos 7 Octa. The company confirmed this itself at last year’s Analyst Day conference. If this news is true that it would be very interesting as we can see a new member in this race. Also Nvidia’s Maxwell architecture Erista processor is coming in the Q2 of 2015 which is the first to use the 16nm process node. Erista is the successor of Tegra K1. So we can see a good competition and whenever competition made its entry we see lower prices. At last its a little too early for making concrete predictions right now, but things do look to be moving in a new direction. We’ll keep you updated as this develops.
