Samsung’s  highly anticipated metal-framed smartphone which had been rumored a lot previously can make its debut on 13th August. The device is set to launch this wednesday according to a recent report by korean report. This news is highly expected to be a true one as the korean media cites information from samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Rumored To Launch On August 13

Th device should feature Exynos octa-core processor  with a  2 GB Ram. There will probably be an internal storage of 32 GB and run on Android 4.4 KitKat. The thing which will make this device look different from the former samsung models will be its metallic body instead of having a plastic body as samsung phones used to have.

For some markets such as South Korea, the device may also get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. The handset is said to have 4.7 inch display with a 720p touchscreen. The rear snapper is expected to be 12 MP and the front snapper for selfies to be 2.1 MP.


The handset is expected to be the one for customers who prefer smartphones in a mid range with higher quality materials. Although the comapany has lost its top spot from 2 crucial market i.e. India & China in the last quarter but it still remains the top smartphone maker in US and top overall in smartphone maker in the world.

Samsung’s two most anticipated smartphones – Galaxy Alpha & Galaxy Note 4 which are set to launch on 13th August and 3rd September respectively may help samsung reverse a downward slide seen last quarter .
